Downloading the Seahorse Magazine
From January 2010, we are encouraging financial members to register to download the monthly magazine rather than having it posted to you.
The advantages of downloading include:
- Reducing our expenses, such as the cost of postage, printing, labels, stationery, etc. At 70c each, we could save about $60-70/month if most members elected to download the magazine.
- Protecting your confidentiality, especially for those who have concerns about receiving the magazine in their mail.
- Removing the need for members to have a PO Box to receive their magazines.
- Allowing you access to Seahorse Event photos.
Other issues:
- Those who elect to download the magazine may still opt to have a copy posted to their address.
- If you have confidentiality concerns, we recommend creating a free web-based email account for your Seahorse emails, with hotmail.com, yahoo.com or gmail.com.
- Members who fail to renew their membership will lose access and will need to re-register to regain access.
How to register:
- Go to: this page
- Fill in your details and press "Join up".
- Our Webmistress, Christine, will then organise your username and password, and email the login details to you with information how to access the magazine and photos from Seahorse events. She will usually be able to do this within 24 hours.
Once registered:
- Go to: this page
- Select the first option: "If you are registered and wish to login"
- You will then be asked for your username and password, and will be directed to the list of magazines going back to Nov/Dec 2008.
- Each month, Christine will email you to let you know that the magazine is available to download. We are now able to make the download available at the same time that the magazine is posted.
Any problems or questions?
