Hello

Postby Dana » Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:40 pm

I have just registered and thought I would say hi to everybody.

I have been staying in Adelaide on my own for a couple of months so I have had the weekends to myself and have enjoyed the time to dress en femme. I have even taken the opportunity to take some walks into Adelaide itself which has been a wonderful experience. I am lucky that I am quite small, so can pass reasonably well, although I haven't had the courage to really talk to anybody as the voice is definitely the give away. I did buy a couple of things including a pair of shoes while dressed, although only from Target.

I took a few photos while I was out, i will post some of them over the next week or so.

Hi Dana

Welcome to the forum. Nice to hear that you get out and about.

Don't worry to much about the voice, it is a giveaway for most of us, no matter how well we present. Most people are actually OK knowing that you are TG. Adelaide is pretty tolerant, as are most of the capital cities and larger towns. I present the best I can but I know I don't fool everyone that I am a real woman, but most are polite and respectful, if you try your best to look and behave well. A lot of the people (women mainly) I meet ask if I live full-time as a woman (I don't) or assume that I do.

And never apologise about Target. I have made some of my best purchases there. Better than K-Mart and Big-W, not quite Myers or DJs, but plenty of bigger sizes for us larger gals.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Christine, thanks for the welcome.

My quick intro yesterday was a bit brief, so I thought I should do a slightly better one.

I live in Northern Sydney with my wife. I have been crossdressing for over 30 years, since my mid teens. I have been fairly limited to how much I have been able to do over the last few years as my daughter waas growing up, but she has now moved out so hopefully I will get a few more opportunities in the future. My wife tolerates my crossdressing, but doesn't like me doing it when she is around, but fortunately she does arrange to be out for a few hours every couple of weeks so I have a bit of time. This is why being on my own in Adelaide has been a very good opportunity.

I did get out a few times in my younger days, but I haven't been out dressed for probably 20 years; so it was quite exciting to be able to do it, particularly with a lot of people around. I really found it such a pleasurable experience; I even enjoyed getting blisters from my heels :)

Shopping wise I actually don't mind Target, I got a beautiful jacket from there in the end of financial year sales. I was mainly commenting on it from the point of view that you don't get the personal service that you get in other shops that would require you to be in close contact with somebody for a while.

I am back in Sydney from this weekend, so hopefully I will manage to get out in the not too distant future and try doing some more personalised shopping.

That sounds like a pretty fair arrangement. It is a rare wife who enjoys her man crossdressing. Any level of tolerance is pretty good.

Similar story with me. In my 20's I went out intermittently, then had 28 years never going out till January 2007. It was a buzz and felt easier than when I was young. Over the last three and a half years, I now go out dressed very regularly and am very comfortable with it,

Again, welcome to the Forum and I am pleased to see that you have been posting regularly since you joined.

Thanks for the welcome, I must say I am really appreciating being able to talk about my crossdressing with somebody. I feel that it is such an important part of who I am, so not being able to talk to anybody about it is very hard.

It was great being able to get out en-femme and interact with people, even if only to a limited extent. The first couple of times were real buzzes, but after that the feeling was just that it felt "right". I am not sure how I am going to arrange to get out around Sydney, but I will definitely have to manage it somehow.

Try Hunters Hill - exact address known to members only. Guests must be accompanied by the introducing member.
