We are less than a month out and tickets are selling steadily.

  1. If you are staying at the Mercure, make sure that you mention that you are attending the Seahorse and you will get a substantial discount:
    $179 BB - 1 person

  2. Friday Restaurant Night at the Mercure
    As has happened on previous years there will again be a dinner held at the Mercure Hotel at 7pm on the Friday night before the Ball. This gives the guests who have traveled from all over the state and interstate to get to meet each other and for "first timers" as there are always some at our ball, to get rid of the inevitable "first time out nerves" and so help them enjoy the Ball even more. In past years up to 40 guests have attended these dinners so you will have plenty of company.
  3. The Elections:
    As you all probably realize by now, Federal Parliament has called for an election to be held on the same day of the Ball. August 21st. This clash of dates may cause some anxiety forthose who are attending the Seahorse Ball, We hope that the following information from the electoral commission will assist.
    • You are able to vote early at your local electoral office, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. To find the information as to where your local electoral office is situated, please phone 132326.
    • You can arrange a postal vote, which has to be witnessed by a third party.
    • If you are traveling from interstate, you will be able to vote at the Sydney Mascot Airport terminal. The airport staff will be able to assist you with the exact location on the day.

  4. The Taxi Club after the Ball
    For other who would like to party on after the Ball, we will be organising transport to the Taxi Club.
  5. Professional makeup artists and changing facilities
    It is planned that we will have at least one (and hopefully more) professional makeup artist available on the afternoon of the Ball. A conference room will be set aside for this purpose. Also, there will be a change room for those not staying at the hotel and who are unable to travel there en-femme.
