"Linda used to run the restaurant at the Newtown Hotel, the original gay and lesbian pub in Newtown. Now she's gone up market with her own place on King Street, just diagonally down from Newtown Station. Good food, good service and very friendly regardless of your persuasion. Cross dressers very welcome." - Jan.

"This is the home of the popular Seahorse and TrannyRadio restaurant nights. Comfortable venue, great food at very good prices. Staff always smile when they see a horde of us girls sweep in for the big night! No worries! Though sometimes I wonder whether we aren't part of the entertainment! It's BYO with the Marlborough Hotel and bottle shop just across the road." - Jan.
"This was the venue for my very first girls' night out, back in February 2007. I will never forget it. I have eaten there several times since then." - Christine.

Comments:
"Well, what can one say about the Imperial - Sydney's leading GLBTQ pub. Whatever you want to be you'll be just fine at the Impie. Play pool in the public bar - made famous in the Priscilla movie. Take in a great drag show with the witty Miss Mitzi in the Cabaret Room. Have a quiet chat and sip a wicked cocktail in the Priscilla Lounge (when open!)
The Imperial is a regular post dinner venue for Seahorse and Tranny Radio restaurant evenings." - Jan.
The Imperial is currently closed for renovations, but should reopen in early 2008.

Comments:
"The Taxi Club is as diverse as its patronage - located
in the heart of Sydney's Darlinghurst where professionals,
workers, artists, business people, gays, straights and
trannies come together in one small community." (Extract from the website)
"After midnight the parade begins usually on the disco floor. A remarkable cross-section of the TG community. Be prepared for the tranny admirers." - A contributor to Seahorse.
