Seahorse History

A detailed history of the Seahorse Society, covering its beginnings through to the present day, has been updated with photos from the inaugural meeting in 1971, Transeminar 77, and photos from the 1980's.

Membership Stats

As of 20th April we have 156 financial members.

Remember get your renewal in before the AGM at the end of May to stay financial. You must be financial to vote at the AGM

Support your society. Membership is still only $50.

Historic membership data:

This graph shows the membership numbers as both the highest level during the year just before the Annual General Meeting at the end of May each year (in red), and those who are financial members at the AGM (in black).

So far 156 members, 77 of whom are financial for 2013-14 as of 7th May 2013. We are hoping we can get our membership numbers up to 100 by the time of the AGM on 31st May 2013.

Website changes

The column of text and links down the right hand side of each page has been removed. I felt that it crowded the text in the centre of the page too much, and was probably rarely used. The result is more space for the text on each page, which make it easier to read on smaller screens, like iPads and smaller laptops.

Instead there are randomly-selected texts at the bottom of each page, having the same content of as what was on the right hand side before.
